Gary Williams, Esq. is an accomplished entrepreneur and business leader. As President and CEO of DrashCorp, a company he recently founded, Mr. Williams applies decades of expertise in business development and law.
Raised in Florida, Mr. Williams was exposed to entrepreneurship early on through his family's various business ventures including a restaurant, concert promotion, a hotel, and a community health clinic. This hands-on experience inspired him to pursue a career as a business developer and advocate for minority-owned businesses.
While attending Howard University Law School as a Council on Legal Education Opportunity Fellow, Mr. Williams gained legal and media experience as the first Director of Public Relations for the National Consumer Information Center. He educated consumers through radio and TV appearances and led an annual Christmas gift drive for underserved families.
After graduating, Mr. Williams was appointed the first African-American attorney in the Office of General Counsel at the Federal Trade Commission. He provided key legal opinions on antitrust matters to Fortune 500 companies. Seeking to fulfill his passion for business development and entrepreneurship, Mr. Williams left the role to teach business law at the University of the District of Columbia while assisting minority business owners through the SBA.
For 17 years as a professor, Mr. Williams empowered entrepreneurs before transitioning to full-time infrastructure development work in Honduras after Hurricane Mitch. He aided the country's tourism rebound and took on projects for nonprofits including building a foundation for Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes.
Currently, Mr. Williams provides business development services internationally through DrashCorp and other ventures. He takes pride in synergizing his talents and experience to produce results and provide solutions to those in diering need of life resources and housing, health, and economic resources
